Tarsadia Hotels

Norwalk, CT: Hotel management company Tarsadia Hotels recently
deployed Decisions Business Intelligence System from Datavision
Technologies, Inc. throughout their portfolio. A premier developer
of Business Intelligence Solutions in the hospitality industry,
Decisions consolidates data from different systems (PMS, CRS, POS,
Sales & Catering, Back Office, Payroll, etc) to provide a
centralized reporting solution.
At Tarsadia, Decisions extracts a variety of information such as
occupancy and revenue data, market segmentation, future business on
the books, along with a host of other data for marketing and
forecasting purposes. Data is extracted from various property
management systems (Holiday Inn Encore, Jaguar, Fidelio) and is
passed through multiple filters to automatically translate codes
from the source system to one standardized platform. In addition,
Decisions also extracts data from Falcon CRS, providing
sophisticated revenue management capabilities. All this data is then
consolidated into the master data warehouse and is immediately
available for access by all decision makers in the company. Since
Decisions collects data from the front office as well as the back
office system from all properties, users can now access un-audited
operational numbers early in the morning, and later in the day
access audited financial numbers that Decisions extracts from the
back office system. Data is delivered to end-users via standard
spreadsheets, which can be manipulated to any custom need, or via an
Executive Information System (EIS) using stoplights, gauges, etc. It
has been successfully installed and is in current use at all of
Tarsadia’s hotels, and at the corporate offices in Costa Mesa, CA.
