DVEnterprise creates an on-site data warehouse at your property, and populates it everyday by automatically extracting data from the systems you already have in place (PMS, Golf/Spa, POS, Time clock, Sales & Catering, etc.) Once data is automatically extracted and consolidated, users can access the warehoused data via standard Microsoft Excel™ reports or by querying the database to create instant reports on the fly.

Since DVEnterprise is a true data warehouse, all its information is retained perpetually. This makes it easy to compare yesterday’s information to data from years prior, or compare against budgets and forecasts. You can also automatically aggregate weekdays, weekends, week to date, month to date, year to date numbers in your reports without having to setup complicated macros. You can create reports in seconds or minutes that would otherwise take hours, or in some cases, be almost impossible to duplicate manually.

Standard reports can be pre-created in Excel, mixing data warehouse formulas with Excel formulas. Thus, you can automate and continue using your existing reports or create new reports that allow for dynamic user interaction. You can also create reports on the fly, with absolutely no programming.. Since Excel is the primary front end, there is virtually no learning curve to begin using DVEnterprise.

Reports created in Excel can also be published to the Intranet site and viewed in HTML format while maintaining report interactivity.

PRIMARY BENEFITS

One of the biggest benefits of DVEnterprise is the fact that you can finally get information from all your key systems from a single source. You can thus mix and match data from the PMS, POS and Timeclock on the same report, making it fairly straightforward to create daily flash reports. This is of particular benefit to the hotel’s accounting who usually spend hours printing out reports from various systems and manually re-keying numbers into spreadsheets.

Revenue managers in particular realize tremendous benefits from using DVEnterprise. In addition to the key data required for flash reporting, the system extracts information-rich data from the PMS every day – historical and future business by market segmentation, booking sources, guest geography, room types, travel agency business, group business, etc. The system also tracks the spending patterns of guests during their stay – room revenue vs. recreational spending (golf, spa, F&B, etc.)
