MyDigitaloffice.com LLC complies with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the US Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from European Union and the United Kingdom and/or Switzerland to the United States in reliance on Privacy Shield.  MyDigitaloffice.com LLC has certified  to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles with respect to such information. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern. The Federal Trade Commission has jurisdiction over myDigitaloffice.com LLC’s compliance with the Privacy Shield.

Scope 

This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices that myDigitalOffice adheres to when processing Personal Data collected from customers located in European Economic Area (“EEA”) and Switzerland to the United States in reliance on the respective Privacy Shield framework.  

All employees of myDigitalOffice who have access to Personal Data covered by this Privacy Shield Policy are responsible for conducting themselves in accordance with this Privacy Shield Policy.

Types of Personal Data Collected 

myDigitalOffice collects the following types of Personal Data including, but not limited to: full legal name, address, email address, telephone number, driver’s license or other government-issued identification number.

Third Party Disclosures 

myDigitalOffice does not share aggregated demographic information with partners and advertisers. And/or myDigitalOffice uses an outside credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes beyond filling order. And/or myDigitalOffice partners with another party to provide specific services. When the user signs up for these services, names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services are shared. However, these parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.  

Purposes of Collection and Use 

myDigitalOffice is the sole owner of the personal information collected  and has access to/collect information that individuals voluntarily provide via email or other direct contact. myDigitalOffice will not sell or rent this information to anyone. myDigitalOffice will contact individuals via email in the future to tell about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

Choice 

In accordance with the Principles, myDigitalOffice will offer individuals opportunity to opt out whether their personal information is (i) to be disclosed to a third party or (ii) to be used for a purpose that is materially different from the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by the individuals. For sensitive information, myDigitalOffice will obtain affirmative express consent (opt in) from individuals if such information is to be (i) disclosed to a third party or (ii) used for a purpose other than those for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by the individuals through the exercise of opt-in choice.

Accountability for Onward Transfer of Personal Data 

myDigitalOffice complies with Privacy Shield’s Principle regarding accountability for onward transfers.  We remain liable under the Principles if its onward transfer recipients process Personal Data in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, unless myDigitalOffice proves that it was not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.  

Disclosures Required by Law 

myDigitalOffice may need to disclose Personal Information in response to lawful requests by public authorities for law enforcement or national security reasons or when such action is necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding or court order, or when otherwise required by law.

Security 

myDigitalOffice will use reasonable physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to protect your Personal Information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction, taking into account the nature of the Personal Information and the risks involved in the processing that information. 

myDigitalOffice takes precautions both online and offline to protect Personal Data covered by Privacy Shield Policy. Wherever we collectsensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted in a secure way. This is can be verified through looking for a closed lock icon at the top of web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page. While myDigitalOffice uses encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (e.g. billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers with personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Data Integrity & Purpose Limitation 

myDigitalOffice does not process personal information in a way that is incompatible with the purposes for which it has been collected or subsequently authorized by the individual. We take reasonable steps to ensure the personal information is reliable for its intended use, accurate, complete, and current to the extent necessary for the purposes for the Personal Information is used.

Access 

Individuals in the EEA and Switzerland may opt out of any future contacts from myDigitalOffice at any time. In compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles, myDigitalOffice commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of your personal information.  European Union and Swiss individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding our Privacy Shield policy should first contact myDigitalOffice through info@mydigitaloffice.com.

Within the scope of this privacy notice, if a privacy complaint or dispute cannot be resolved through MyDigitalOffice’s internal processes, MyDigitalOffice has agreed to participate in the VeraSafe Privacy Shield Dispute Resolution Procedure. Subject to the terms of the VeraSafe Privacy Shield Dispute Resolution Procedure, VeraSafe will provide appropriate recourse free of charge to you.
